WAITRO is the largest global network of research and technology organizations, research universities and potential industry partners and provides a wide range of programs and services to foster R&D capacities and facilitate the transfer of technologies around the globe.
Founded in 1970 under the auspices of the United Nations, WAITRO has more than 130 members worldwide, bringing together international stakeholders (incl. RTOs, research universities, start-ups, NGOs, SMEs) with a common goal: contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. With sustainable innovation at the core of WAITRO’s mission, WAITRO provides the means for its members and partners to collaborate, share, inspire and multiply their contributions to solve global challenges and build a more sustainable world.
